Harry - I went back and read your original note. You stated that your vacuum lines looked good. Are you sure they are good? I've had hoses that looked good be cracked/split on the bottom. As a suggestion you might put a Mighty Vac or similar vacuum tester on those lines and see if they are indeed holding vacuum. Despite your updates, it still sounds to me like you have a problem in the control system which if the electronics are OK almost implies a bad vacuum/boost signal (i.e. leaking hoses).

I hope that when this is all sorted out, you tell us what it ended up being. Good luck.
