I'd have to say the clutch feels a little different from the usual. But it is hard to tell. The clutch does come back and it does move the throw-out bearing to depress the fingers of the clutch.
In any case, I've asked Jim at Sobstory to ship me a master cylinder ($69) and throw in a shift coupler because it is so cheap.
I figured if I can shift in any gear with the engine off and can't push into any gear with the engine running, plus the car lunges forward if I start the car in low gear, it must be the hydraulic system not pushing the TO bearing far enough to fully disengage the clutch.
