Track at Once vs Disk at Once might make a difference. Also, do you burn stright from MP3 or do you convert to wav first then burn? What speed do you burn at? There are tons of variables to look at. I was playing a burned CD in the car this morning on the way to work, but have others that don't work. The one I was playing this morning I made 2 years ago. I have a feeling that I ripped it to wav first then burned it at 8x DAO. Where as the cds that I've made recently have come straight from MP3, burned at 24x DAO. Media is the same brand as I am brand loyal... So this is why I think it would probably have to do with how the CD is burned. Do some testing and I will do some as well, we can share results next week.
