Good morning fellowsaabers, it's saturday morning I decided to start checking what's going on with the ACC. here is a summary of my prior posting last week- acc suddenly stopped blowing cold or hot air- no air at all at any temp settings, nothing stopped besides air blowing, compressor works, cold air at highway speed.
So this morning as suggested by fellowsaabers, I started checking acc fuse, fuse oK, next I opened up the aquarium and unplugged and jumped the blower, no blower, dead sleep. got my voltmeter and tested the wiring connector that connects to the blower, yes 12 volts, there is. So I said this is another blower job, the blower is toast ( i hated the first time I did a blower replacememt on my 1990).
I plugged it back in, debating should I do it again or pay someone. To my surprise when I started the car, the blower started blowing like it was before. That was when I went back to my computer to post. How come the blower did not start when I jumped it. I had two wires plugged to the connector and I touched the other end of the wire to the battery posts.
I am happy the blower starts blowing air and hope this is for good or lasts a little longer, I know eventually it will stop working. But now I have another problem.
The SRS light is now blinking. What did i disturb in the wiring harness? Do I have to reset something like unplug the battery? I'll put the aquarium cover and check back again.
thanks everyone,
