It ran fine up to the point I shut it off. Had a good freeway run with no sputtering (even up to an 85 mph run for a while) and then good running up to the point I parked and shut down. I thought usually the DI or Fuel Pump would start to faulter, usually at high speed or under load, before failing. No preliminary symptoms like that here.
I tried starting this morning to see if this was heat related. Engine cranked freely but wouldn't even consider firing. I'm considering removing the fuel rail to check for gas at the injectors, but am not sure how to check the DI without having a replacement. Any suggestions?
Thanks -Cal
