I have an 88 9kt and a 91 9000S, and through the use of this BB, the Haynes manual, and some software programs, I've felt confident enough to do some major work on the cars.
All this from a guy who never even changed oil before, but got really sick of making the boat payments for my local indy mechanic.
Started with taking the manual gearbox out of the 88 to replace the slave cylinder--shifts like butter now.
Do research, ask questions, and above all, get yourself the Haynes manual and other technical manuals to prepare you for any repairs.
Best of luck.
