Your 1993 Aero presumably has the ECU on the firewall, under the "acquarium", so it's a Trionic car and presumably T5.
As I understand it (someone will correct me, I hope!) 1993 m/y cars like my CSE (delivered here in the UK February 1993, without TCS) have an early implementation of Trionic – which is why some tuners don't offer chip upgrades for 1993 cars, but only for 1994-on (when other engine modifications were made as well).
However, I just don't know if this applies to the first Aeros which came in halfway through the 1993 model year. And if it does, you could always go to Maptun, who chip '93s for a pastime.
