I've never done the clutch hose, so not sure about that...
But I have had malfunctioning "check radiator" lights in 3 different 9000's. What has happened to me is that the insulation on the wire for the sender disintegrates. When the wires short together, the light comes on.
If you reach under the front of the coolant reservoir you will find a tab. Pull the tab and the reservoir will come free. Now you can maneuver it around to see where the wires are. If the insulation looks bad, wrap the wires with electrical tape and you should be good. Usually it's just the first couple inches of wire.
The light should not come on until you are down to the MIN marking on the tank.
