I agree with Matt. I didn't pay attention to the turbo thing in the original post, but there's no way they took out the turbo. Maybe one of the ducts, but even that was silly. Like I said, the light should not come on until you are quite low on coolant and any machanic who claims to know about Saabs should know that these lights frequently have problems. I bet it comes back on before too long.
Also, I'm still pondering what "tighten to spec" might mean...
I've had so many bad experiences with so many mechanics that I just don't take my car _anywhere_ unless I have to. It's been over a year since someone else worked on my car and it's better that way. If you need special tools to do a job you can buy them and still save money if the labor rates in you area are like ours. I don't have a good place to do the work, so I can't do anything like a head gasket or a clutch, so I will have to find a good mechanic at some point.
Anyone know a good one in the Philly area? I'm willing to drive a bit. I used to go to Lititz Auto Service, which was quite a trip for me.
