Yes, you can put it in, but you'll have to install A LOT more than just the in-dash unit.
In the manual unit, the heat and vent knobs move levers. In the ACC units, there is a bracket with two servos to do the job. You'll need to get the servos, and slightly different actuation cables.
Also, the ACC system has extra sensors - the little fan sensor in the instrument panel face that samples cabin air, and the sun sensor on top of the dashboard. You'll need to install those.
And you'll need the appropriate wiring harness bits.
It's not a simple procedure. Your best bet would be to have a donor car on hand for all the bits. And frankly, I don't find the ACC system to be worth the trouble.
