the traction control system. seems a lot of people have had serious problems with it messing up. having said that the most important thing for your potential purchase is to check the service history, see if you can get someone who knows what they are doing to check it out (I am useless at mechanics so when I bought my car I got a specialist to give it a once over - needed new tyres, exhaust and some TLC but that was it - gives a good case for discount too!).
Just remember that they made loads of these so if you are uncertain for any reason, walk! A sorted 9K is great and will last many years, a bad one will cost a lot to sort - parts can be pricey. As for whether that's a good price, sounds a bit expensive but if its from a dealer and you get a 6mnth warranty or similar, could be worth the little extra for peace of mind.
