I am welding the exhaust because I feel it's a better alternative. I am utilizing a custom rear muffler/tailpipe. It would bolt on but I prefer welding it. In the history of the car I've always had exhaust problems due to bad connections. I'd rather weld it on and have it last 2X as long than have the ability to replace sections. I just did the whole exhaust last year and it broke right at the forward muffler connection. I just don't think [IMO] that Starla is very good quality.
When I first replaced the VR, I had a Bosch sent but it was the wrong one. I mail ordered it, waited a week to get, had to return it and deal with horrible customer service [claimed no return on electrical parts ~ even tho it was their fault]. They did refund me purchase price and issued a call tag for return but I needed my car going ASAP so I went to NAPA. 1 day and $20 bucks cheaper. When they saw the first one and how it came apart they got me another N/C. I know, I too feel it's a quality issue so I am going with Bosch this time and hopefully will not have to deal with a bad supplier now that I've found eEuroparts.
