We just acquired the CS and it needs a few things done, so I haven't done much highway yet, at least not at higher speeds (say 75+). It feels fine, but is riding on Michelin somethings, which are nothing to get excited about.
I love the high speed performance with the 16" rims on the CSE. Much more nailed down and connected. I have Toyo Proxes FZ4s in 205/55x16 and they are very good. But one of the best things about them is they give a very good ride on local streets and roads. Much smoother and softer than I expected. Quiet, too. Turn in could be crisper, but they do the job.
I know Boston potholes and the risk you take is with your rims when you have a lower profile tire. You just have to be careful.
So go for it. there are some Aero wheels in the classifieds. 8^)
