is that the so called 'hub centric' spacers are total BS and that any centering will be done far more accurately by the tapered (or spherical seat) bolts or nuts.
but i don't make stupid amounts of money selling overpriced wind chimes, so i must be wrong.
any dirt, rust, corrosion will upset the hub-centering, but will tend to be canceled out by a bolt that turns.
the hub centering is just a convenience to make getting the wheel on the car easier, especially on cars without studs for the wheels.
