UPDATE:

Today I visited every autoparts store in the greater Concord, NH area, and no one has the exact thing I needed to check the pressure in the fuel line. They all had the kit that attached to the fuel rail (with the valve) which a 9000 does not have (or at least mine).

SO, I cracked the bolt on the left side of the fuel rail (where the regulator and return line are)... low and behold: no pressure, fuel is present in the rail, but there is ABSOLULTY no pressure at all.

So now I am stuck again... I can access the fuel pump area, but I can't actually get it out (I don't know how, and don't want to break the connections on the top) so I can identify WHICH pump it actually is.

damn

if anyone has R & R instructions it would be greatly appreciated.
