Cheap, I can appreciate, but look down the road. if you are planning on keeping the car until it biodegrades around you, and don't mind the huge loss of power (from 225 hp to about 150), and the engine will actually fit, then it's your choice. Otherwise you are significantly decreasing the car's value. That's something to consider.
But if the engine will fit is a big part of this.
Mechanically, the engines may be a lot a like. However, there may be other mounting and connection considerations beyond the obvious one of mating the engine to the transaxle. Coolant lines, fuel lines, power steering, electrical, exhaust, air intake, and more are all involved. Then there is the ECU. I have no idea whether the Aero ECU will work on the N/A engine from a 900. You need to find this out first. Is the N/A engine a Trionic system? I don't know. Replacing an engine is not hugely hard, but it is complicated and not a trivial operation. Swapping the kind of engine adds a whole lot of complexity and you want to go into it prepared. You don't want to get it all done and find out the ECU won't let the engine run.
IMHO, if you don't mind not having an Aero motor you are better off putting in a used LPT engine that you know will bolt right in. This way everything will hook up and you can drive away without a huge amount of hassle. With the right tools you're looking at a long weekend or two to do the swap. You could easily spend a chunk of money getting the pieces to make the N/A motor fit, so check that out in advance so you know what it will really cost.
