Every Time I Start Thinking of Ditching My '93 Aero...

My '93 Aero's original fuel pump finally bit the big one at 173,000 miles -- the day before Thanksgiving. And the new windshield I'd had installed leaked a lot of water into the front passenger footwell, to boot. I felt at the end of my Saab emotional rope.
I end up making the repair that's left me unhappy with the car, then I get in it again, drive it, and I'm a convert all over again. In the interim, I borrowed a friend's '99 Mercedes E320 wagon, which left me hankering for something newer, but the Aero is so much more satisfying and fun to drive.
So, knock on dashboard wood, all's well again. The fuel pump was LITERALLY the last known original part remaining in the car that was a known eventual problem. This car has literally been rebuilt in and out, bumper to bumper.
Anyway, thanks for humoring my post. Just to let you all know I'm still here, still in my Aero, hoping to be so for some time to come.
Happy Holidays!
