Nightmare Front Brake job - Rotor Set Screw Stripped...

Well, this is turning out to be a pretty bad weekend for my DIY adventures.
While I managed to get the Left brake job done (pads/rotor) and switched Manual Transmission fluid to Saab synthetic, the right brake job consumed at least 8 hours of my time and went nowhere.
Started out with a stripped head on the Rotor Set Screw even with impact wrench, then I promptly went out to get a Craftsman extractor. Well...that broke INSIDE the center of the set screw.
I head out to Home Depot to get some Blue Mol drill bits and a couple of spares (per Yaofeng's old advise on this board to someone else). Broke a couple of bits while drilling straight center (remember, that carbide extractor is still in there!), so I drilled around it for a bit, but still no luck. Sun sets, and I'm tired.
My hunch is that I should start think about getting a new hub bearing assembly as well, since I doubt I'd be able to salvage it after I'm done next weekend with more drilling. Assuming I'd be able to drill around the countersunk spot and get the rotor out, the odds of damaging the hub are pretty high.
Any advise to those who've come before me?
Thanks.
