Are you talking about the screw that just holds the rotor in the same position for the lugs and in place when the caliper is off? The one opposite the pin that aligns the wheel?
If that's the case I just drilled that thing out on my 1988 9k and left it out. Many of the cars besides Saabs I've owned don't even have set screws, including the Audi I just got rid of. I've found most extractor tools are generally worthless and just end up breaking inside or fusing themselves to the fastener anyhow.
Why not just get some cutting tools and hack up the rotor until you can get a clean angle on the set screw and cut the head off? Or just try drilling all the area of the head off. Once you get that rotor off you can just spin it out. You're doing the brakes so that rotor is trash anyhow, so you who cares if you destroy it? I don't see at all why the hub needs to be damaged.
I've found that once you give up hope for saving a fastener and possibly the piece it is holding on you can get just about anything off. I've had to cut an entire cast aluminum control arm off of a 944 with a angle and pencil grinders (6 cutting discs required) because a bolt was frozen in the sleeve. Or the CV joint that requried all 6 torx bolt heads be sawed off.
