Unbolt and remove the two bolts that hold the steering spindle to the shock absorber.

Release the clip holding the axle's inner boot to the driver on the transmission.

Rotate the steering spindle/hub/rotor assembly outwards (still attached at the ball joint) while reaching in and pulling the axle from the inner driver. You kind of slip the inner boot off the driver.

Enjoy the cavalcade of grease that blurps out of the inner driver; then cover the inner driver and the axle's tripod joint with plastic bags and rubber bands, or some other protective covering.
