First off, this board is an amazing resource, and die-hard fans like you guys are the reason I started looking into older SAABs.

Just bought a '94 9K Aero with 118k for $1800 (yes, $1800) in great shape. There are a few minor issues that I was hoping to get some advice on.

1. My dad, who is unfortunately used to working on simple automobiles, used steel wool on one of my treasured Aero wheels. As a result, there is a strip of missing finish/clearcoat about 10" long on the wheel. The wheels as a whole have a ways to go before they merit refinishing. Can I get away with lightly spraying the area of lost clearcoat with something? I already plan to buy the Wuhr silver wheel paint to take care of the wheel centers - one of which he may have discolored with paint thinner - but will I have acceptable results?

2. The recline function in one power seat doesn't work. I read about the broken shaft problem with these - if this is indeed the case, should I be able to hear the motor? Pressing the recline switch only elicits a click and no motor noise, and this is getting to be a big deal, as I am 6' 5".

3. Does anyone know a proven way to remove duct tape residue? The previous owner used it to secure anything that was slightly loose. Goo Gone does very little - and there is a strip of tape goo on the gauge cluster!

Sorry for the long post, thanks in advance for any insight!
