Thanks. This car has all silicon hoses and no leaks (that I'm aware of). The plugs are correctly gapped and clean NGK. The car runs great except when on occasion...
Aside from a stuck gauge- I can't think of what would hold pressure (boost) in the intake manifold. Then allow that pressure to slowly bleed down to where it will indicate vac. I am thinking that maybe there might be a pinched line in the aquarium or behind the dash feeding the gauge.
I'll let you know what I find.
Oh, a failing compressor relief valve (dumps pressure into the intake after the AMM) that has become a Blow Off Valve (hooter) (dumps to atmosphere) will confuse the ECU because the air that it thought was in the intake has just been vented to space. Now you are running too rich and the car will stall or a lower than normal idle until the ECU can deal with it.
I love it!
All the best,
K
