With two of my four Saab's I have automatic transmissions in them. Adding one bottle of "Lucas" brand automatic transmission conditioner has always done wonders. This product "doesn't" attack the seal and swells them, instead, it conditions the seal with compatible polymers. I add one bottle to each complete change of the transmission fluid change. With the axle noise, it will either be the wheel hub bearing or the C/V joint. The wheel hub can be checked by jacking the car up and grabbing the wheel and rocking it back and fourth at the twelve o-clock and six o-clock position. It's harder to check for a bad bearing on the transmission out put drive. There's also the jack-shaft bearing to consider. The automatics also have a governer that can become jambed. Try the "Lucas" and see the positive results, you just can't go wrong with this product.
