Oops! 9000s have Torx bolt - use same tool w/ Torx bit Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Mon, 1 Dec 2008 13:03:11 In Reply to: Re: Better Idea to remove Phillips Screw and Locating Pin, oldsaab, Mon, 1 Dec 2008 11:38:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Perhaps it was my old 900 that had a Phillips screw to hold the rotors on? In any case, also get a set of Torx bits that fit into a 1/4" hex magnetic driver handle. The Impact Tool has a 1/4" hex adapter to hold the bits that it comes with; the Torx bits will fit right in.
The Craftsman Impact Tool that I have (also purchased close to 30 years ago) has 1/2" drive - not sure what they currently have, but I hope they didn't mess up such a good thing.
