You didn't mention whether your car is an automatic or manual tranmission. On my manual tranmission car, the biggest obstacle was the shift selector rod interfering with removal of the rack, even out through the left side of the car - I wound up dropping the left side subframe a small bit for additional clearance which made removal/reinstallation much easier. You may need to ensure that something is holding up the transmission side of the engine when doing this - I had the entire engine/trans assembly held up from above with chains on a beam.
If you are going to do this job, I recommend also replacing the two power steering hoses at the same time - you can leave them attached to the rack on the way out, and attach them to the rack prior to installation on the way in. I took both entire hose assemblies to a hydraulic repair shop where they installed new rubber hoses on the old fitting for a reasonable amount of money. Old hoses eventually leak and you will never have this clear of a shot at them.
