The alarm system probably isn't the culprit that drained your battery.

For temporary peace and quiet as you work, pulling fuse #16 (central locks) should disable the alarm.

Is it warm at CO? Do you recall hearing a cooling fan running after turning off the engine when you last drove? If so, then you may have a defective A/C relay, which is located in the relay box in front of the battery. When this relay goes bad, it will turn the fan on but not turn it off, and it's circuit is always powered. Next day you're battery is dead and your alarm system is freaked out. A normal A/C relay will turn off the fan within 5 minutes of turning off the car.

You can pull this relay, remove it's cover and clean up the contacts inside it to revive it for a while. Or just buy a new one, which will cost about $20.

This relay may or may not be the problem, but it should be on your list of things to investigate because it is notorious for killing batteries.
