the grin factor is reduced. My guess is the power is down 5-10% running the cheap stuff. But the car still runs OK.
My '96 CSE has an Aero ECU and the boost mapping is definitely different, but it runs fine on regular, medium or premium. I split the difference and run mid-grade most of the time, as there's no advantage to running premium for my local, rural driving--up to about 50 mph and usually not over 3800 rpm.
But it appreciates an adaptation run up a nice hill when I put in better gas or just want it run better.
