As far as I know with the coupler you can take the one off the 1994, including the piece that goes into the transmission and put it all onto the 1997. Supposedly the older couplings last longer. But, you can also just get the coupling(if it doesn't come with it) for the 1997 and use that. Not sure if you have to change anything else towards the shifter, but i dont think so. someone correct me if im wrong. As far as the tripod joints, im not sure if its a direct replacement with the bigger ones to put on the cs tranny, but im guessing you can put your 94's on. Again, someone else help out, back up what im saying. good luck.
