First hand experience is both are direct replacement. If you do not like the new style coupler, remove the tapered pin to remove the coupler. It is easy to do it with the gear box out of the car. The smaller drive flange for cs and lpt has the same bolt pattern as the larger one for aero and fpt provided they are both 5 speed. The auto only comes with the larger drive flange and has a different bolt pattern.
Drain oil first before removing the drive flange.
