We had a 3/4" drive and a 1" drive torque wrench at work but I think we sent it to another facility when ours closed down. From an engineering standpoint, I don't see why the torque on that nut needs to be exact or that high. It's a spline bore and shaft and there's no taper to it so once it's tight, it's tight. I think the Saab engineers where sitting around the office one day and thought up ways to make things difficult. Maybe the torque number came from the legal department. ;-)It's got a locknut so it's not going to come loose on it's own. It's not like your trying to take up the clearance in the bearing.....it's pressed onto the splined hub so that's already addressed in the machining of the hub. Maybe it just gives people the opportunity to be anal.
