installed. The gear puller I rented from Auto Zone (n/c along with torque wrench) was too small but the 4-pound hammer did the trick using the nut flush with axle. Tried to free the rotor once the steering swivel was unbolted but eventually had to remove two 19 mm bolts holding the caliper, swing it away and secure to the strut, than everything was simple. Cleaned up the spline, rotor and axle assembly, installed new hub/bearing, re-assembly went smoothly. I did use a new axle nut and when you put it on you then understand why it is a single-use; halfway on it offers much resistance suddenly but you have to continue to wrench it on and then torque it down to specs. All in all about 1 1/2 hour job, next time should go quicker now that I have the first one behind me.....thanks to all for your expertise.
