Traded the '97 CSE on a Subaru Posted by jdlincoln [Email] (#640) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jdlincoln) on Tue, 10 Nov 2009 07:52:16 In Reply to: Try a new (European) translation., Noel, Mon, 9 Nov 2009 07:43:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
took advantage of "cash for clunkers", of which, of course, the CSE was not. However, it had 240K and was in need of body and suspension $$. Didn't want to buy American, and nearest Saab/ BMW dealerships take a whole day back and forth. So... 0% 63 month financing plus a 100K full warranty made the choice for my work car replacement. can't afford downtime, especially in the winter when the Aero is in storage.
Well, the Subie is my first NEW car in 31 years, and I will say it's nice not to need to worry about how things will go today when the key is turned. Getting about 30MPG turning 4 wheels vs. 26-27 turning 2 on the CSE. It's NO 9K. Drove the wife's CSE to the store the other night and all I could think was, wow, what a car for 13 years old! When I get back in the stage IV Aero next spring I'm sure I will be sutitably impressed. I know how smooth comfortable and powerful it is! Put 4 studded Nokian's on the Subaru so as to have a fair comparison once the snow hits and can only hope that it's just close to as stable as the 9K this winter. I'll let you know.....P.S. The Aero is NOT for sale.
