It's a tinny, plasticky, buzzy box with so-so seats. More capacity? Not a chance, if you mean for people and cargo. 9000 is classed a "large" car by the EPA; the Mazda would be compact or even subcompact.
Not to say it isn't probably a ton of fun to drive, but my goodness, it's anything but an apples to apples comparo. And boy, do I hate those ratchety seatback adjustments in the Asian cars. You can adjust the seat to any position you like, as long as it's what the factory gave you. The Saab seats are infinitely adjustable. That makes a difference, at least for my 40-year-old body.
For modern stereo capabilities, for a few hundred you can find a compatible aftermarket unit that will exceed what the Mazda's system will do.
