Fuel cap has a wee one way valve to keep it airtight. Remove the tiny rubber flapper plug from the inside of the cap in conjunction with your plugged Vapour recovery disable trick. Don't lose the plug, IF you ever need to go through a genuinely rigourous emmissions test, you will have to restore both things.
