I just put my manual 97 Aero on the road after buying it last year. The car has about 114,000, pulls strong and was well maintained, but I noticed that I was getting about 25 MPG on the highway and less than that around town.
Having 3 Aero's since 2000 I knew something was not right. I was going to swap out DI's on the car, but figured I'd better check the plugs too... sure enough the last owner was running Autolite Platinum's. The gap looked good, but swapped them out for NGK's and immediately got 30 MPG.
Just an FYI, but figure most folks on list already knew that...
