Please pardon my lack of a clear recollection here.
This is vaguely remembered from a VERY dark time, with the green '93 Aero,
before I was lucky enough to find TSN, in the horrible 'snowfire days'.
(Having an honest, dependable mechanic in the year 2010 IS a huge bonus !)
When you ground (?) the anti-icing switch, IIRC - it 'fools' that circuit into 'thinking' the evaporator is NOT iced up and cooling results IF the switch with it's sensor-bulb are shot.
IIRC it has but a single lead so you ground the switch to bypass it closed; I may be all wrong here - I just remember using a jumper lead to do it way back then...a wiring diagram or someone smarter than me could clarify this better, I suspect. (Senor Don ??)
In my green car the problem was not with the switch/sensor but WAS the main cooling relay which I replaced with one I had on hand and it was all set.
Thanks for asking - and I hope that helps !
