do a test real quick. there's a level that locks the steering wheel assembly in place for the telescopic movement. if it is easy to push down "lock it in place" then the bolt that go through that lever is loose. my steering wheel had up and down sloppyness because of that. when you get the plastic covers off, you'll find a bolt and nut in the center of the steering assembly, directly underneath the dash. its a pain in the ass to find and to get a wrench and socket onto. i used the open end of a 13mm wrench on the right side (facing the steering wheel) and a deep 13mm socket with a 1/4" drive ratchet on teh left to tighten the nut. the wrench is to keep the bolt stationary. before i did this i pulled the steering wheel outwards as far as it went. and be sure to leave the lever in the unlock position. otherwise you wont tighten it as much as you need to. its really tuff to tighten it so dont think its already tight enough. it was on mine at least. when youre done the lever should be pretty tight going into the lock position. made a world of difference on mine! it was really clunky and noisy over bumps before, now its like new! hope this helps you
