I like Ander's method of removing the old plug. However, before removing it note how far in the plug is located. It is possible to knock the new plug into the engine if you get carried away with the hammer and socket. Then you'll definitely have to remove the valve cover to retrieve it.
You have the new generation plug which is inferior to the old generation found in '94 and earlier models with direct ignition. I installed an old style plug bought used, and it hasn't dripped since then. The old style plug is easy to install, easy to maintain by replacing the O-ring if it ever leaks again. The old style plug is an assembly consisting of these parts:
PN 30539721 is the plug
PN 7519143 is the O-ring ("Sealing Ring")
PN 8362287 is the slingshot-shaped bracket that holds it in ("Distributor holder")
PN 8082950 is the screw that holds the bracket, superceded by part number 916223. In your picture, see the threaded hole just below the plug? The screw goes there.
