If doing the chains, replace all the chain guides at the same time, as there will be enough wear here that even a new chain may wind up at the theoretical tensioner limit.
For balance chain, good idea to budget for new sprockets as well. If you don't need them you can always return them.
For the low oil light, in addition to checking the mains, have a look at the timing cover with the oil pump removed. You're looking for any excessive scoring behind the oil pump gears; if it's present it may be affecting oil pressure, and the only remedy would then be a replacement timing cover.
Note that this effect on the timing cover is extremely rare in 9000s. It mainly occurs (with frightening regularity) on the later NG900 and 9-5 2.3s.
