The tensioner limit is 15mm, if I recall correctly. If you plan to have the car out of commission for a little while and don't mind an extra 12+ hours of labor and discovery, the chains a definite go. HOWEVER, timing the chains can be a huge pain and, if not done correctly, you'll have to do everything again and get a new head. On my first t-chain replacement, I advanced the intake cam by one tooth and wrecked all the intake valves. It was runnable, but wouldn't idle to save its life.
Since then I've done three others, and each time I get an adrenaline rush. It's scary, but worth it.
