You know the rest. I'd keep it. You know well that these cars can just keep going and going if they are maintained properly.
I know that you take good care of your cars, and if you dump a bit more into like you said, I think you're good to go. I drive a lot for my job and have no qualms at all about my 9k - I've never been stranded in it (going on 9 years now and I'm almost at 200k) but I maintain it very well. I trust it more than my 9-3 that is 6 years newer and has almost 80k less miles. You know every little thing that you've replaced in your daughter's car, and you know what the usual suspects are and at what mileage things tend to wear out or fail. You're not going to have that comfort in a $5k unfamiliar car.
