Seems as if exhaust hangers are being made out of angel food cake recently. for a few years I used the VW Mk Golf/Jetta style donut. They use a super tiny chain inside to assist holding strength.
But due to how we fit my JT 3" exhaust, there were 2 areas that were too large for those VW bushings to work. So I grabbed a few old windshield wiper arms, bailing wire, and high temp rubber tubing to make my own.
Pulled the heavy duty spring off the wipers, put a3" section of tubing over the spring, and wrapped the bailing wire back and forth a few times so it looked sort of like this: {)
Frankly, they work brilliantly and they don't transmit NVH like straight bailing wire would do.
