Advice on storing car for winter

With one daughter away Jan-May and her car at home, I'm thinking I might store my '96 semi-Aero and drive her '99 9-3SE. This saves a few bucks on insurance & registration, I avoid buying snow tires for the 9K, and don't subject the old beast to a NH winter (it missed the last one while out west).
I'm thinking January through mid-April, so it's only 3.5 months. I have some old snows to put on it so the summer tires won't flat-spot. I can rearrange the garage enough so the car will fit and I even have a cover. Garage is cold.
What else do I need to think about?
I'm thinking...
Full tank of gas with fuel stabilizer... or almost empty with stabilizer, and add fresh gas in spring?
Cover the tailpipe.
Mothballs inside the trunk and passenger compartment, also in the engine room to keep the mice out. (I live in the country... there are *always* mice.)
Oil was just done 5 days ago with Mobil 1.
Coolant is OK.
Plugs have ~6,000 miles on them
Disconnect battery or should I get a battery tender? (my charger is a cheapie--not automatic.)
Don't set the e-brake
Hopefully I can park it when the engine is hot (so moisture is boiled out of the exhaust) and on a dry day so the car goes into the garage clean and dry.
In the spring crank it with DI disconnected and fuel pump fuse pulled to get oil pressure up, then start it. Maybe change the oil once it's nice and hot.
Never stored a car before. Advice is welcome. And needed.
Thanks, guys!
