2 or 3 months is nothing, disconnect battery is all that is needed, if you want to worry then you could also jack it up a little to take weight off the tires & springs.
Rodents: not mothballs, they kill humans too!!
I've used the smelly fresh carpet powder cleaner on the carpets, nothing but your wife likes that smell.
Best anti-rodent is a good offense; for years I've stored a truck in a rodent infested area 10 months a year out of 12, and by far the best approach is those little mouse poison soft squishy bags of poison bait. Scatter these under the hood, chuck a few in the suspension, have had snackers eating but they never get to the second course. Not worried about anything crawling up the exhaust, they will come out fast and fried once it is fired up again.
