Thanks for the numbers Bob. I got out the multimeter last night and checked the resisitance of a fuel pump assembly from my 97 and 93, which should be the same PN as the 1990. 33 or 34 ohms empty. I checked the one I took out of the 97 and also got 34 ohms. I put a block of wood under the float on the 93 unit and read around 250 ohms. I put the same block of wood under the 97 unit and got about the same. I think the resisitance is the same for the two generations of senders. I couldn't check 100% full because the resistance coil/circuit card is broken off near the top on the 97 model. The wiper basically falls off the card and jams all the way up. Since there's no coils there, it reads open and the gauge reads empty. I'm pretty convinced I have the whole assembly sitting crooked in the tank and that's why the gauge is off. I'll post back when confirm this.
