In my 'other' car world (BMW 8-series), v12 owners joke about 'four short' 8ers, i.e. 840s which came with 'mere' v8s and not v12 like the 850s...

Some 840 owners take the joke good-naturedly by carrying four pistons in the trunk to make it 12... :-) and making no secret of it.

A SAAB driver since 7/84, I used to be down on BMWs. Now I have an e32, e38 and two e31s (V12s). They are apples and oranges when comparing to the 9000.

I would not drive the BMWs in the stuff I used to take my 9 or 10 SAABs through and definitely not as fast. :-)
