Got it back today! Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Wed, 14 Mar 2012 14:00:16 In Reply to: Keep after him, Mike Johnson, Thu, 1 Mar 2012 16:50:00 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Finally got the radio back and it did take just about the expected 2 months time that others have reported. So far the results are well worth it, the radio looks and works like new, a real professional job. Even minor annoyances like the right side of the display being dimmer than the left have been fixed. How long it will all hold up is anyone's guess, of course, since the reality is that this is still a 15-year-old radio and it is connected to a similarly old amp and CD player.
Bottom line with my experience is that I would recommend SaabRadio as long as going in you understand how long it is going to take, and also understand that the guy can be tough to get hold of. It just seems to be the way he works.
Sure is nice to finally get the boom box off the passenger seat!
