My 9000 leaks as well Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Mon, 18 Jun 2012 12:49:58 In Reply to: caveat emptor applies, dref, Mon, 18 Jun 2012 09:26:39 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Since conversion my 9000 (originally R134a) also has a persistent slow leak that I have not been able to find, though that system has other problems to sort out as well. It was not leaking with R134a but wasn't working very well even with a full charge.
I am reluctant to use a sealer since from what I've read that causes a real mess if you open the system up for repair afterwards (the sealer hardens on contact with air). I have not had leakage problem with R12 conversions, in fact I converted my C900 to Enviro-Safe a decade ago and have not had to top it up at all, it continues to blow ice cold.
