Selling is probably a practical solution even if you hate to let it go. It will hurt less if the buyer is someone who appreciates the car and has the means to maintain it. Townsend may know of someone like that. If not, then try Russ Cleaton at the Swedish Garage (Charlotte).
It doesn't cost that much to keep the car. It shouldn't self-destruct. Rubber bits and tires will dry rot, but that is more a function of time than of disuse. Taking it for an occasional drive will be good for it, and passing the annual NC inspection should be no problem.
I accumulated cars earlier in life but concluded that having more cars than drivers was too much trouble and a needless expense. For me less is more. But do what is right for you.
