So, I started the head gasket change today and, of course, as some wise person already mentioned might happen I've run across a couple of additional parts to replace. The tensioner pulley has a chip out of one area, the intake hose from the air filter to turbo inlet had the vacuum connection to the BPC(?) valve break off, the PCV hose connection on the intake hose broke so I have to replace that hose (it's stiff as a board anyway). Sigh... Generally looks like the signs of things that haven't been replaced in 15 years. I was debating the timing chain, but since it is at ~12mm on the tensioner I'm going to bite the bullet on that one also. Fun times!

Ya know, I remember this being easier the last time, but I was much younger too. By the way, I was able to get a garage (mine is mainly storage) to work in from our apartments here. It'll cost me about $3.50 a day so not bad!
